Construction Branch

The Construction Wing has taken in hand various construction projects since inception of the University  i.e. Boys Hostel No.2, Girls Hostel No.2, Vice Chancellor’s residence & camp office, Faculty House, various type of well-furnished residences of H, Super-H, C, Super-C , D, E, E2 and F type houses for university  officers/employees, Day Care Centre, Water Treatment Plant, Over Head Service Reservoir, University Boundary Wall, Water Supply and Sewage Scheme, Sewage Treatment Plant, Teaching Blocks No. II, III & IV, Media Centre, Library Building, Shopping complex, Main Gate at Dabwali Road, Internal Roads (Phase-II) &  several parking, Multipurpose Hall (open auditorium, main hall with seating capacity of 1500 and indoor auditorium with seating capacity of 500 seat). The work of Administrative Block, Air Conditioning Plant at MP Hall & Sound Reinforcement System at MP Hall, 11 KV Indoor Electric main Sub Station & Compact Sub Station, Building for Electric Sub Station, High Mast Lighting, LED Street Lights, Conventional Light Fitting, laying of Sports Flooring at MP Hall, Construction of Water storage tank and providing sprinkler system in various lawns, Solar Power Plant, Solar Water Heating System, Girls Hostel No.3, Herbal Park, Information Centre & Guidance Bureau, Connecting Roads to all buildings, Seminar Hall & Class Room and Extension of Boys Hostel No.1 completed. The Statute of Chaudhary Devi Lal Ji, Former Deputy Prime Minister of India, Beautification and Renovation of Rotary in front of Main Gate and other miscellaneous development works completed in recent years. The works i.e. Renovation of Faculty House, 06 nos. Car and 02 nos. Bus Garage of Service Station and boundary wall of University disputed land and shifting of main gate of Girls Hostel have been completed.  Besides various shops and Cafeteria, Branch of Punjab National Bank with ATM facility and Health Centre is being run in the building of Shopping Complex. Silent Generator Sets are also available in the University to meet out the requirement of power during power failure. Recently, the construction projects i.e. Construction of building for U.I.T.D.C., Teaching Block No.-5 and Student Activity Centre have been completed in time.

Future Projects:

The fresh proposals i.e. Construction of Teaching Block No.6, Construction of Girls Hostel No.4, Construction of Water Storage Tank, Development of University Campus (New roads, roundabout etc.) and Solar Power Plant are in pipeline

Location: The Construction Branch is located near shopping complex & opposite Tagore Bhawan at Chaudhary Devi Lal University, Sirsa.

Functioning:

The Construction Branch is a part of the University which is an agency for executing and monitoring the construction works in the University. The Construction Branch prepares estimates on the basis of proposals received from the departments office concerned. All the construction works are carried out in the university campus as per PWD specifications. All the informations related to tenders are made available time to time at university website www.cdlu.ac.in. The tenders are being called through e-tendering system of Haryana Government.

Working Hours:

All the functions of the Construction Branch are carried out during the  office hours on all working days from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Monday to Friday).

Note:

1.  Sh. Parveen Kumar, J.E. (Civil) is also holding the additional charge of J.E. Horticulture under the supervision of Executive Engineer (Electrical) and assisting the Sub Division Electrical.
2. Various Supervisors of Electrical, Public Health, Civil, Sanitation, Horticulture, ALM, Electricians, Carpenters, Plumbers, Fireman, Water Pump Operators, Mali, Helpers, Sweepers and Sewerman are deployed through HKRNL to provide their services in the University.
